Over time, the action of our muscles begin to leave fine lines and wrinkles which typically appear around the eyes, mouth and nose.
Anti-wrinkle injections allow these mucles to relax, smoothing these lines and giving the skin a more youthful, fresher appearance.

The Process
Your first visit for anti-wrinkle treatments will include a consultation to identify your particular area of concern and treatment goals.
The treatment itself takes approximately 20 minutes. Your face will be cleansed and the targeted muscles will be injected.
In Galway Skin Clinic we invite clients back into the clinic approximately two weeks after the treatment to assess and adjust the treatment if needed. A good result should be subtle leaving your skin looking fresher and more youthful.

Will it be obvious that I had an anti-wrinkle treatment?
In our clinic, our goal is always to achiece a natural appearance. You will still be able to make normal, natural facial expressions but your friends may notice that you look fresher but they will never know why!
Is the procedure painful?
Anti-wrinkle injections are administered using an incredibly fine needle. There is a sharp scratch which is generally very well tolerated but if you are concerned, we can use a topical anaesthetic to lessen the sensation.
How long will it take to work?
Results are not immediate. You may begin to notice a relaxation of your facial muscles after 42 hours but it may take up to 2 weeks to notice deep frown lines beginning to fade.
How long does the treatment last?
For most people, the effect will last approximately 4 months. Over time, repeated treatments become more effective as the facial muscles relax leading to longer periods between treatments.
